Iliyana Demirova

Iliyana Demirova is a Media and Communications specialist currently acting as a Press Office Manager at Pensoft. Holding an undergraduate degree in the field from the University of Brighton, she has also graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Relations from the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Iliyana’s topics of interests cover communication of scientific research, in particular Earth Sciences, for the wider public. Her final Master's project in the same field was among the few awarded a certificate of excellence by the grading committee. At Pensoft Iliyana is in charge of the preparation and implementation of long term communication strategies for large scale EU projects and the company’s journals, coordinating and managing the press office activities across teams. Her duties include press release writing and coordination, and consecutive communication with international journalists to ensure wide and positive media coverage. She is also involved in the communication of several large EU projects, where she is overlooking the production of marketing collateral, website content, and multimedia.
