This position is primarily office-based with remote work flexibility.
You are an experienced communications mastermind and, at the same time, an environmentally conscious individual. You believe that environmental sciences and saving nature on our Planet must have wider outreach among practitioners, policy makers and the general public? So do we. Pensoft Publishers Ltd. is a recognised life science open access publisher with a professional and very committed team, leading the communication and dissemination activities in several European research projects.
Pensoft is looking for a Communications Professional with strong management skills to join our project team in Sofia.
What will you do?
- Assist with development and implementation of strategic communication and dissemination plans for research projects.
- Analyse and compile scientific knowledge into policy briefs, factsheets, reports and other outreach materials for scientists, decision-makers etc.
- Translate complex research outputs into high-quality newsletters, press releases, blogs and other communication materials for media and the general public.
- Coordinate the creation of impactful visual materials, like videos and infographics.
- Build and maintain a community in the social media channels Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and others.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in the environmental policy and communication field and proactively propose innovative methods and techniques.
- You have a degree in Communications, Marketing and/or Environmental Sciences.
- You have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience with communication and dissemination.
- You are an experienced team-, work package- and task manager, with a strong work ethic, cultural sensitivity and a reliable performance.
- You have worked with scientific concepts in the environmental sciences domain or have a strong personal interest in environmental sustainability.
- You possess an aptitude for public relations & stakeholder engagement and are comfortable to proactively reach out to people and fit well in groups.
- You are well organised and keep orderly records of all your work-related data.

About the role:
Pensoft is looking for a motivated and energetic front-end software developer to join our IT team in Sofia, Bulgaria. The role involves working on Pensoft’s innovative signature scholarly publishing platform ARPHA, journal and project websites and applications. The employee will be reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
Contracting freelancers is also possible under special conditions.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience with Angular;
- Experience with Webpack/Rollup or similar JS bundler.
Advantages:
